OCZ Vertex 3

After SATA III technology that speeds data transfers 6 Gigabit per-second introduction, the more boost the popularity of SSDs. Because the chip-based data storage system is superior to the disc-based hard drive.
Among the manufacturers of SSDs, "OCZ" became one of the known providers of consumer SSDs. One of them via the Vertex series of products are constantly being developed to model the SATA III we tried this. There is also the Vertex series 3 is available in a choice of 120 GB, 240 GB and 480 GB.

As the SSD performance category, 3 Vertex uses SandForce controllers to handle 16 fast-performance NAND flash Micron each with a capacity of 16 GB (for a capacity of 240 GB SSD). Compared to previous models, the Vertex 3 somewhat lighter although it covers the bottom using aluminum materials. Apparently the material was deliberately used so that heat from the inside more quickly wasted. No wonder during the benchmarking, we found SSDs outside temperature remains cooler than previous models.

Vertex's performance test results of three in the motherboard Southbridge chipset AMD850 were indeed very high. At least, much faster than the SSD is still based on SATA II. Unfortunately also noted some shortcomings ranging from power consumption is relatively little high, SATA II performance in systems that are less optimal, and the price is still expensive. You need read-write process more hurried on notebooks and desktops can replace conventional hard disk with a product like this.
