Surpasses Dell, Lenovo wins No. 2 World PC Market




Lenovo for the first time the world's No. 2 position after surpassing Dell. Hewlett-Packard(HP) is still solid at No. 1.

Position data is reported by both Gartner and IDC, the world's two leading research institutions. Although, both recorded a slightly different percentages.

Gartner placed HP in the first position with 17.7 percent market share. While IDC figuresrecorded 18.1 percent. According to Gartner, Lenovo is in second position with 13.5 percent rate. This goes beyond the so-called Dell has a market share of 11.6 percent.

IDC also notes Lenovo in second place with a range of 13 percent. Dell stumbled to third place with a range of 12 percent. Following is the Acer (10 percent) and Asus (6.5percent).
